PTA HONORARY LIFETIME MEMBER RECIPIENTS
Please help us in congratulating the 2024 Texas PTA Honorary Lifetime Member Recipients! Receiving an Honorary Life Membership Award is one of the highest forms of recognition to let a volunteer know how much a campus truly appreciates their dedication to our children and the community. The following individuals in the Rice community have either been recognized at Rice Middle School or another nearby campus in the State of Texas.
These much deserving members were honored at the Lifetime Member Banquet hosted by the PISD Council of PTA's on Tuesday, April 9th.
Texas PTA Award Recipients
The Texas PTA's Honorary Life Membership Award and the Texas PTA Extended Service Awards are the highest honors that can be bestowed upon an individual by the Texas PTA for outstanding contributions to the well being of children and youth. The recipient of these awards do not have to be a PTA member, nor must the service for which the honor has been bestowed be connected with the PTA. The only requirement for receiving this honor is that the recipient is making, or has made, a worthwhile contribution to the well being of children and youth.

TEXAS PTA EXTENDED SERVICE AWARD
In 1987, the Texas PTA Board of Directors developed criteria for the awarding of an Extended Service Award to those people who have continued to give outstanding service to the Texas PTA. The recipient must have been actively involved in the Texas PTA for 10 years and be a Texas PTA Honorary Life Member.
