Proposed Slate of PTA Board Officers for 2018-19

At the PTA General Meeting on March 5, at 6:15 p.m. just prior to Open House, the Rice PTA Board will present and vote on a new slate of officers for the 2018-19 school year. The proposed members are:

• President – Alice Weaver
• 1^st VP Membership – Pernille Nordstrom
• 2^nd VP Programs – Sarah Quan
• 3^rd VP of Ways & Means – Veena Janak
• 4^th VP of Volunteers – Lisa Mendiola
• Secretary – Sailaja Attili
• Treasurer – Sandy Nagarajan
• Communications/Webmaster – Avani Choski
• Council Delegate – Sandy Saraswathan
• Legislative Chair – Open
• Parliamentarian – Open

Available Committee Positions – Volunteers Needed

• Social Coordinator
• PE Uniforms Coordinator
• Box Top Coordinator
• Spirit Wear Coordinator
• Band Coordinator
• Hardship Coordinator
• Teacher Meal to Go

The board also will propose a change to the PTA standing rules to include information about a senior scholarship for Rice alumni. Several elementary schools and middle schools do this to support their former students and families who have been members of PTA.
